Olivia's First day of School!

Livi was so excited for her first day of Kindergarten

Look...she does love me ;)

One of my favorites.

And you would be proud of me...I didn't cry. It was a bitter sweet. I hear that there will be many in my life and so far...I found that to be true.

So after Liv came home I asked her how her first day way. She was no longer excited. I asked her what happened and she told me that she did not have enough time to eat her "Scooby snacks". When I looked in her lunch, I realized that she hardly touched what Paul had packed her. By this time, Tim was there to see how her first day was and he reminded her that she only has twenty minutes to eat.  On the way home, she told me that she is not allowed to whistle or make noises in class. I told her then she needs to listen to what her teacher says and while we were on the topic, I reminded her that she cant talk about guns or knives or she will not be allowed to go back to school. Her reply "yea, no more school". YIKES! I reminded her that she would continue going to school but would have to attend a different school and would have a very upset Mommy and Daddy.

My goodness. I never thought she would not love her first day of kindergarten. She has been looking forward to it for months.

Last Day of Summer Vacation

The Last Day of Summer...

The last day of summer we, Joanne, Dad, Paul, Austin, Rachel, Rosie, Olivia, and me went out on Dads boat for the day. The kids were so excited.

I made them stop for a pose before the inevitable...

Aww...come on you say that coming....

Even though, in my opinion, it was not warm enough for swimming, the kids did not hesitate

I cannot tell you how many times they jumped off the platform. They even got me to go in with them for a few minutes.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures but Jimmy and his girlfriend tied up for a few minutes and allowed us to the kids out on the jet skis for a little bit. They LOVED them!
Our Frist vacation together...

We ended up going the first full week in July this past year. It took us five hours to get to the Ocean, we finally got to the condo, unpacked and thought the first day there was perfect but we have all week to spend at the beach and just relax for the day and go to the beach the rest of the week.  you would think July...warm/hot right? Nope, not this year. Unfortunately we only spent a few hours at the beach.

Paul and I decided to take a day and spend it on the rides. We got the kids their wrist bands and off they went. We started at 1:00pm.

I love this picture of Olivia

The girls had so much fun riding the planes

This was the Don't Worry Be Happy swing ride

This is called the "wreaking ball". The girls LOVED this ride. Austin...not so much. He went on one time, looked like he was ready to loose it and swore he would never get on it again. Not only did it swing back and forth. It also went around in circles. I lost count how many times they rode this ride.

Ahhh....the caterpillar ride. All of them rode this one so many times, I lost count. They rode this ride at least seven times. The great thing...since we went during the day there was no lines. So latterly the kids would get off, run to the next ride, and hop right on.

The walk back to the room. How cute is this?

And at the end of the day...this is what they looked like.

An evening at the arcade...

Ok, so really it was more then just one evening at the arcade. The kids were hooked, and I mean hooked on the quarter claw machines. They pretty much always won a prize, which in return made them want to play more.

We were finally able to break them away to play other games and what did the girls want to play???

The horse ride...go figure.

Then they found that they could all three play fruit ninja.

The girls wanted to go on the Ferris wheel. Austin was game until we closer. Then started flipping out that he changed his mind and did not want to go. So we got on the ride after Paul returned from taking Austin back to the room. The girls LOVED this too.

On our last day, Paula had saved bread for the kids to feed the seagulls. They had a blast. I had never seen so many seagulls come from no where so fast.

Made them stop for a picture.

After the kids finished feeding the seagulls we decided to go for a walk on the beach. It was chilly and rainy our last day there but we tried to make the best of it.

Austin stopped for a quick pose.

Then of course I made Rachel do the same thing

And yes, of course I made Liv too. How cute are they?

We had a lot of fun but it was exhausting at the same time. I never imagined how tired I could be just from watching the kids ride all of those rides, play all of those games, and just run. My goodness! But...I cant wait until next year!
