Olivia's First day of School!

Livi was so excited for her first day of Kindergarten

Look...she does love me ;)

Paul helping Liv put on her backpack

One of my favorites.

And you would be proud of me...I didn't cry. It was a bitter sweet. I hear that there will be many in my life and so far...I found that to be true.

So after Liv came home I asked her how her first day way. She was no longer excited. I asked her what happened and she told me that she did not have enough time to eat her "Scooby snacks". When I looked in her lunch, I realized that she hardly touched what Paul had packed her. By this time, Tim was there to see how her first day was and he reminded her that she only has twenty minutes to eat.  On the way home, she told me that she is not allowed to whistle or make noises in class. I told her then she needs to listen to what her teacher says and while we were on the topic, I reminded her that she cant talk about guns or knives or she will not be allowed to go back to school. Her reply "yea, no more school". YIKES! I reminded her that she would continue going to school but would have to attend a different school and would have a very upset Mommy and Daddy.

My goodness. I never thought she would not love her first day of kindergarten. She has been looking forward to it for months.

Last Day of Summer Vacation

The Last Day of Summer...

The last day of summer we, Joanne, Dad, Paul, Austin, Rachel, Rosie, Olivia, and me went out on Dads boat for the day. The kids were so excited.

I made them stop for a pose before the inevitable...

Aww...come on you say that coming....

Even though, in my opinion, it was not warm enough for swimming, the kids did not hesitate

I cannot tell you how many times they jumped off the platform. They even got me to go in with them for a few minutes.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures but Jimmy and his girlfriend tied up for a few minutes and allowed us to the kids out on the jet skis for a little bit. They LOVED them!
Our Frist vacation together...

We ended up going the first full week in July this past year. It took us five hours to get to the Ocean, we finally got to the condo, unpacked and thought the first day there was perfect but we have all week to spend at the beach and just relax for the day and go to the beach the rest of the week.  you would think July...warm/hot right? Nope, not this year. Unfortunately we only spent a few hours at the beach.

Paul and I decided to take a day and spend it on the rides. We got the kids their wrist bands and off they went. We started at 1:00pm.

I love this picture of Olivia

The girls had so much fun riding the planes

This was the Don't Worry Be Happy swing ride

This is called the "wreaking ball". The girls LOVED this ride. Austin...not so much. He went on one time, looked like he was ready to loose it and swore he would never get on it again. Not only did it swing back and forth. It also went around in circles. I lost count how many times they rode this ride.

Ahhh....the caterpillar ride. All of them rode this one so many times, I lost count. They rode this ride at least seven times. The great thing...since we went during the day there was no lines. So latterly the kids would get off, run to the next ride, and hop right on.

The walk back to the room. How cute is this?

And at the end of the day...this is what they looked like.

An evening at the arcade...

Ok, so really it was more then just one evening at the arcade. The kids were hooked, and I mean hooked on the quarter claw machines. They pretty much always won a prize, which in return made them want to play more.

We were finally able to break them away to play other games and what did the girls want to play???

The horse ride...go figure.

Then they found that they could all three play fruit ninja.

The girls wanted to go on the Ferris wheel. Austin was game until we closer. Then started flipping out that he changed his mind and did not want to go. So we got on the ride after Paul returned from taking Austin back to the room. The girls LOVED this too.

On our last day, Paula had saved bread for the kids to feed the seagulls. They had a blast. I had never seen so many seagulls come from no where so fast.

Made them stop for a picture.

After the kids finished feeding the seagulls we decided to go for a walk on the beach. It was chilly and rainy our last day there but we tried to make the best of it.

Austin stopped for a quick pose.

Then of course I made Rachel do the same thing

And yes, of course I made Liv too. How cute are they?

We had a lot of fun but it was exhausting at the same time. I never imagined how tired I could be just from watching the kids ride all of those rides, play all of those games, and just run. My goodness! But...I cant wait until next year!

Congratulations Olivia!!!!!

Olivia signing in her preschool graduation. She said her pledge, she said sang I'm a nut and kindergarten here we come. Honestly, they were all so cute but the kindergarten one was the best!
Here's the kindergarten song...
Kindergarten here we come. We know will have lots of fun. Lots of things to make and do, reading, writing, counting too. Kindergarten here we come, we know we'll have lots of FUN!!!!

Olivia being her goofy self. She turned Mr. Paul into a smiley face...haha.

She stopped long enough to take a quick picture with her favorite mommy!

Olivia,
Mommy is so proud of you and all that you have accomplished thus far. It is amazing watching you grow from an infant, to a toddler, to a preschooler, and now a kindergartener. The past five years have passed so quickly, I hope they slow down a little, so I don't miss any of it and remember all of it. I love you baby girl!!! To the moon and back and a million, gazillion times more!

Olivia's 5th Birthday Party at Pick N Paint Pottery

Shortly after Olivia's 4th birthday party she told me she wanted a Hello Kitty for her 5th birthday party. So that's just what she had.

Happy 5th Birthday Olivia!!!

Olivia working ever so hard to paint her mermaid

 Everyone enjoying painting their pieces

While the adults are talking the kids are still painting

At Pick N Paint pottery the birthday girl gets her hand painted and placed on a plate with everyone's finger print with their names under so we have captured who attended and captured a memory to hang on the wall and enjoy every day.

Placing her hand on the plate...

Here is an idea of what it will look like but it is missing a lot more of her friends

Olivia asked Ms. Paula to make her birthday cake after she tasted Austin's. She asked for a chocolate cake with a cream cheese icing. It was incredible!

 Lighting all five candles...(sniffle)

One big breath and she blew them out

Olivia opening up her birthday gifts from everyone

I got Olivia the biggest Hello Kitty balloon that I could find. It was bigger than her and she LOVED IT!

After her birthday party we get home and Olivia takes a minute to take a picture with me.

It's been too long!!!

First, I want to apologize for not keeping up with this blog. I had every intention, however, a lot has happened since the last update, some bad and sad BUT some good too. Lets keep the bad and sad out of this since this blog is about Olivia and her happy times.

Since the last update Olivia has graduated from Pre-K at Pasadena Childcare and Homework Center. Sad news, our Punkie butt, Daisy, passed away April of this year. On a good note, Olivia has new friends in her life, Mr. Paul, Austin and Rachel, and three new pets. Max (the cat), Sadie and Harley.

I will update her blog based on the most recent events in her life and continue to do so. That way we can all watch her grow and reflect back to when she was little. I still ask Liv to this day if I can put her in the dryer to shrink her back. I miss her being little as she has grown so fast. I cannot believe she is already five. I feel like all I've done was blink. But I guess that's what most parents say huh?

Ok, enough of the boring stuff. Enjoy what's to come!

Three poses were taken and this was the only one that turned out.

Livi's Class Picture!

Of course she's the only frumpy kid in the picture. I guess her face tells all.
